This bag is made with a piece of Katazome, stencil dyed linen fabric.

Katazome is the art of dyeing fabric with finely cut paper stencils and using a traditional rice paste as a resist.

The pattern is from a vintage 1920s Katagami stencil I discovered in a little antique shop off the beaten track in Tokyo in 2019.
