This kit has been made to be used with my online Zoom Shibori workshops.

Kit contains:

2 pieces cotton fabric
Sewing needle
10 metres of 60s weight bonded nylon thread
Soluble marker pen

Please note:

Colour of thread may vary from that shown

You will be sent either an air or water soluble marker pen. Brand of pen may be different from that shown

It is perfect for the following workshops:

Beginners Shibori stitching and binding
Hishaki nui Shibori - stitch on the fold
Boshi Shibori - capping

To do Shibori resist dyeing work you need to stitch or bind your fabric very tightly so that the dye cannot penetrate into certain parts of the fabric. This is what makes the many hundreds of patterns possible. The best thread for this is super strong but thin enough to sew with, which is why I use a 60s weight bonded nylon thread.
