Your name and email address will be used to book you a place via Eventbrite and you will then receive an email from there confirming your attendance. Details

Guntai and Makiage are two traditional types of Shibori that involve combining stitching and binding together to make crisp, defined shapes within a clear border.

NOTE: In the online class you will prepare your pieces for dyeing and then dye them afterwards at your own convenience. I will explain how to set up the Dylon dye but there are simple instructions on the packet as well.

When combined and repeated they can make wonderful textiles.

IMPORTANT:

You will not receive the whole reel of thread shown in the image, just 10m of it, which should be enough to sew all the motifs you need for your project.

The colour of the thread you receive may be different to that shown in the picture.

The pen you receive may be a different brand to the one shown in the picture.

In order to dye your bag you will need to source a packet of Dylon hand dye in a colour of your choice, 250g of table salt, a plastic bucket, a stirrer and rubber gloves.
