I’ve been teaching Japanese Shibori resist techniques for 8 years and it has been 14 years since I learnt it myself at West Dean college. I’ve also visited Japan five times so far to learn new skills from master Shibori and indigo sensei, Bryan Whitehead.

I’m offering a really good introduction to Shibori as a bundle so here it is…

You get all six of my online Shibori classes plus a pack with fabric, thread, needles, marker pen, templates and a bamboo straw for a mini-Arashi Shibori piece as a little extra bonus.

Students are expected to dye their pieces at home with a dye of their choice (not included).

Classes:

Beginners Shibori - Binding
Beginners Shibori - Stitching
Guntai and Makiage Shibori - Combining stitching and binding together
Hishaki nui Shibori - Stitching on the fold
Boshi Shibori - capping
Katano Shibori - folding, pleating and stitching

The six classes would normally cost £225 and the materials another £30, £255 in total but I’m offering this bundle for just £200, effectively supplying the materials to you for free (postage included for UK based customers).

Pack includes:

6 pieces cotton fabric (picture shows 4 but you’ll get 6)
2 sewing needles
Spool of 50 metres of 60s weight strong bonded nylon sewing thread
1 soluble marker pen (may be air or water soluble and brand may differ from one shown)
Templates for all classes
1 bamboo straw (while stocks last)

Classes need to be booked and taken with 1 year of purchase.
